Safe workplaces, resilient and sustainable production are key topics for him. The use of biofuels, biomaterial and essential changes happening within the industry, such as Green Transitioning, Digitalization and future energy options are the backbone in his everyday work.
Within the private construction company of Peab, Mats works as the Chief Technology Officer for the business area Asphalt in the Nordic countries. He mainly focuses on Innovation and Sustainability, is an active member on several technical committees and a member of EAPA, the European Asphalt Pavement Association. There he chairs the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) committee. Peab is one of the leading construction and civil engineering companies in the Nordic countries, with 16.000 employees and net sales of >5 Billion EUR. Earlier in his career, Mats worked for the Swedish Transport Administration holding several positions, for instance as the National Coordinator of Road Maintenance and a Senior Advisor and Expert within his field.
